James Holmes - Chef
Murrieta's Canmore

Born and raised in Toronto, James moved to Vancouver at the age of 19 for a change of pace. Shortly after moving, his family went on a European vacation, and his love for culinary arts began. Upon returning to Vancouver he immediately enrolled at the Dubrulle Culinary Arts of Vancouver. In 2005 James began his apprenticeship at the Westin Bayshore, 2005 he was awarded the silver medal at the BC Chefs Associations Hot Competition. 2006 Chef James was recruited to be the Sous Chef at Cathedral Mountain Lodge, 2 Years later he was the Executive Chef. Chef James has been featured in City Palate, House & Home and The Star Phoenix just to mention a few. After 6 years at Cathedral Mountain Lodge, 2012 James joined the Murrieta's Family and hasn't looked back. He continues to let his passion overflow to his staff and guest.

Aaron Parker - General Manager

Aaron has been working in the restaurant industry since he was 19 years old. He began working as a server during college at The Cactus Club Café in Calgary, Alberta. While he attended college, he served tables and worked as an assistant manager there. Upon graduating college from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (S.A.I.T.) with a diploma in Business Management, Aaron went to work as a Sales Manager for the wire & telecom industry. After spending five years there, he went back to what he loved and missed as a restaurateur with various groups throughout Calgary in both senior management and consulting roles. He has been a General Manager with Murrieta's in Canmore, Alberta since 2012.
